Types of hull.
We generally consider three types of hulls for monohulls. Displacement hulls.
Displacement hulls are generally used for boats with a high displacement to length ratio. This type of hull supports the weight of the boat using the Archimede’s principle i.e. the craft displaces an amount of water equal to it’s weight. The boat is thus supported by buoyancy force.
